Germany to hand over Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine simultaneously with US ATACMS
Germany's decision to transfer Taurus air-launched cruise missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is synchronized with the US decision to start deliveries of ATACMS cruise missiles for the HIMARS MLRS to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Russian military expert Vladislav Shurygin, citing a source at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
According to him, this sequence mirrors the history of the transfer of Abrams tanks by the Americans, which was synchronized with the transfer of Germany's Leopard tanks.
Such a strange, at first glance, sequence has its own political meaning. The United States, conceding to the Germans the primacy in the escalation of hostilities, not only cuts off for the latter any path to an independent search for peace by a “united Europe”, where Germany plays the first violin, but also demonstrates the initiative of the Europeans in the orchestra of the military alliance against the Russians
- explains Vladislav Shurygin.
He emphasizes that the failure of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine forced the United States to seek the most sensitive response for Russia.
And massive cruise missile strikes on Russian cities are seen by the United States as such
- the expert considers.
He recalls that the simultaneous delivery of Taurus and ATACMS missiles will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to move on to massive combined attacks on Russian targets. At the same time, the density of a volley in September can be from 30 to 50 missiles.
And by November, this figure may increase to one hundred cruise missiles, and the same number of UAVs
– sums up Vladislav Shurygin.
